Rates & Payment

All rates are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax)

Air Conditioning Surcharge

Three bungalows can be air conditioned, however, as most of our power is solar generated, this requires additional generator capacity and there is a surcharge of $100 per night for this. Air conditioning must be requested at the time of booking.

Family Policy

Please note that the camp is not suited for children under the age of 8.

Maximum capacity per safari bungalow

2 people

However 3 of the 9 safari bungalows can accommodate up to two adults & 1 child

Conservation Levy

Please note that there is a levy of $10 per person per night (included in the rate) which is donated to the Australian Wildlife Conservancy.

Seasons

The camp will be closed between 1st November and 31st January each year.

Bamurru Plains operates as a dedicated fishing lodge between 1 February until 30 April inclusive please refer to Wild Bush Fishing at Bamurru Plains

Inclusions

The rate includes all meals and house beverages

Depending on the tariff you choose guided activities may be included.  Please refer to our rates page.  

Exclusions

Telephone calls, helicopter flights, transfers (unless part of package), scenic flights, day trips to Kakadu & Arnhem Land.

Bamurru Plains management reserve the write to change inclusions to some services where costs change markedly (e.g. fuel costs) and you will be notified of this in writing.

Depending on the tarrif you choose, guided activities may be excluded.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is from 2.00pm and check-out is 11.00am.

Rooms required for check-in prior to 2.00pm will need to be pre-booked from the day prior to your arrival. Alternatively, if you are planning to arrive prior to 2pm you are more than welcome to make use of the facilities at Bamurru Plains and your luggage will be stored until your room becomes available.

Deposits and Payments

A deposit of 20% is required within 7 days of making a reservation. Full payment must be made 30 days prior to arrival. For bookings made within 30 days, payment must be made within 48 hours of booking.

Cancellation Policy

As a small property, our business depends on maximising occupancy and cancellations often result in empty rooms. Cancellation of your reservation must be notified to us in writing, and will take effect on the day we receive it.

• For cancellations outside of 45 days the deposit will be refunded in full less the cost of any credit card commissions and a $50 per booking administration fee
• For cancellations within 45 days of arrival the deposit will be forfeited.
• For cancellations within 30 days of arrival all monies will be forfeited.

MasterCard, Visa and American Express card are accepted. An administration fee of 2.2% will be levied on Visa, Master Card and AMEX payments.

Travel Insurance

We STRONGLY recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation and emergency medical care cover. You can purchase insurance online with QBE travel insurance here.

All guests will be asked to sign a form of indemnity on arrival at Bamurru Plains.

Air charters and weight restrictions

During the wet season (February & March) we recommend some buffer in your itinerary in case of inclement weather and delays to flights. We will be happy to offer advice. There is a general weight restriction of 15 kgs per passenger in soft bags only to fit in the aircraft luggage compartments. It will be possible to keep excess bags at the air operator's office in Darwin. Although all care is taken, Bamurru Plains does not accept responsibility for any expense incurred by a passenger as a result of any delay, alteration or mechanical failure with a charter aircraft.
