Notes to consider
Our lodge is located in a uniquely remote and enchanting landscape. We encourage you to take a rare opportunity to disconnect digitally and reconnect with the beauty of nature’s surroundings. We provide complimentary wifi on request but ask that you use it with discretion for the comfort of other guests.
Rather than offering a hotel setting like many other high end hotels, our destination accommodation has been purposefully designed as an exclusive bush camp on the fringe of the floodplains, to immerse our guests with the surrounding landscape.
All safari-style activities are shared with lodge guests, with activities curated basted on seasons and optimum wildlife viewing.
Private guiding is available and can be arranged on request upon booking. For enthusiast bird-watchers and wildlife photographers, we highly recommend booking private experiences (at additional cost) to ensure maximum time for your personal interests.
At Bamurru Plains, approximately 75% of the camp’s power is solar generated allowing our guests to hear the sounds of the bush at night without the noise of a generator, while keeping our carbon footprint minimal.
Each safari bungalow is elevated on poles above the floodplain, with overhead fans and mesh walls on three sides to maximise breeze flow so the bungalows are without air conditioning to keep our footprint as light as possible (though is available at a surcharge in three of the bungalows).
