Take the opportunity to visit Kakadu National Park during a stay at Bamurru Plains.
Kakadu is a living cultural landscape and has been home to Aboriginal people for more than 65,000 years. Experience the exquisite rock art, with some of the earliest pieces of rock art in Kakadu dating back 20,000 years.
The day’s experience will include a walk to Ubirr – one of Kakadu’s most renowned locations for its rock art. The walk passes several breathtaking Aboriginal art sites and leads up to a stunning lookout over the Nadab floodplain.
Guluyambi Cultural Cruise is a unique boat tour on Kakadu’s scenically spectacular East Alligator River. An Aboriginal guide provides insight into their culture, local mythology, the river’s abundant food chain, traditional uses for many plants and animals as well as bush survival skills while leisurely cruising upstream and spotting crocodiles on the river banks.
A full day experience, including:
- Travel to Kakadu via a scenic charter flight from Bamurru Plains, including a 30-minute scenic loop over Kakadu National Park
- Return by direct charter flight to Bamurru Plains
- Kakadu National Park entry fee
- Guluyambi cruise on the East Alligator River
- Aboriginal rock art experience at Ubirr & Nadab floodplain
- A visit to Bowali Visitor Centre in Jabiru, an interpretative spot that shares information about the landscapes and wildlife of Kakadu
